Blue Ticks are slightly taller and slimmer than tri and bi- colored beagles. They are called "Blue Ticks", because they have bluish-black dots on their lower body.
They have higher pitched barks than other beagles and are slightly less territorial. They get along better with other dogs too. They are very active so they require lots of room to run and play. They are more active, but are more lap-doggish than tri and bi-colors. When they walk they stride like show-dogs, but when they run, they do it like any other beagle.
